Terms and Conditions
The terms that apply when you use our website, text with us, or have Heritage 4x4 Outfitters work on your Jeep or truck.
1. Agreement and who we are
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Heritage 4x4 Outfitters, LLC ("Heritage," "we," "us" or "our"), a mobile Jeep and truck repair business based in Louisville, Kentucky. They apply when you use heritage4x4outfitters.com, contact us by phone, text or email, or have us work on your vehicle. By doing any of those things, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
If a written estimate or invoice we give you includes terms that differ from these, the estimate or invoice controls for that job.
2. Our services
We provide mobile repair, maintenance and upgrade work on Jeeps and pickup trucks at your home or work, about 30 miles around Louisville, Kentucky, including Southern Indiana. Jobs that can't be done safely or properly in a driveway may be done at a fully equipped workshop.
We may decline or stop any job that falls outside the work we do, that can't be done safely at your location, or where we believe the vehicle is unsafe to work on. If that happens, we'll tell you why.
3. Estimates and approval
- We look at your vehicle in person before giving a firm price. Any price discussed by phone, text or on our website is an estimate until we've seen the vehicle.
- A diagnostic fee may apply. We'll tell you the amount before the appointment.
- We don't start work you haven't approved. Approval can be given in writing, by text, by email or verbally.
- If we find something during the job that changes the price or the scope, we'll stop and talk to you before going further.
4. Your service location
For driveway and on-site jobs, you agree that:
- You own the property or have permission to have vehicle work done there, including any HOA, landlord, apartment or employer rules.
- The vehicle will be accessible, with keys available, on a reasonably level and safe surface.
- Pets and children will be kept clear of the work area.
We work carefully and contain fluids, but some driveway marks or minor staining can happen during repair work. We may reschedule because of weather, lighting or unsafe conditions at the location.
5. Workshop jobs
If your job needs to be done in the workshop, we'll agree with you on how the vehicle gets there and when it will be ready. Please pick up your vehicle promptly once we tell you it's finished. Remove valuables before service; we are not responsible for personal items left in the vehicle.
6. Scheduling and cancellations
Our appointment times are weekday evenings and weekends. If you need to cancel or reschedule, let us know as early as you can so we can offer the time to another customer.
For larger jobs or special-order parts, we may ask for a deposit before ordering. If you cancel after special-order parts have been ordered, you may be responsible for parts that can't be returned and any supplier restocking fees. We'll tell you before ordering if this applies.
7. Parts and warranties
Parts we supply
Parts we supply carry the manufacturer's warranty, and we'll help you with any warranty claim.
Parts you supply
We're happy to install parts you provide, but there is no warranty on customer-supplied parts or on the labor to install them. If a customer-supplied part is wrong, defective or fails, labor to remove, return or reinstall it is billed at our normal rate.
Labor
Any warranty on our labor is stated on your invoice.
What warranties don't cover
Warranties don't cover damage from accidents, off-road or trail use, racing or competition, abuse or neglect, normal wear, or repairs and modifications made by someone else after our work.
8. Older and rusted vehicles
Many of the vehicles we work on are older or have seen hard use. Rusted or seized bolts, brittle plastic and worn parts can break during removal even when the work is done correctly. If that happens, we'll tell you what broke and what it will take to fix before going further. We're not responsible for pre-existing damage or for the failure of parts we didn't work on.
9. Lifts and modifications
Lift kits, larger tires, regears, lighting and other upgrades can change how your vehicle handles and may affect its factory warranty, insurance, and whether it meets road-use rules where you drive. We'll give you our honest advice, but you are responsible for deciding what to install and for keeping your vehicle legal for road use.
10. Payment
- Payment is due when the work is complete, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
- We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Apple Pay, Venmo and Cash App Pay.
- Prices on our website are starting prices or estimates. Your price is set on your estimate after we see the vehicle.
- To the extent permitted by law, we may hold a vehicle in our workshop until the balance for work on it is paid.
11. Refunds and disputes
Because we sell repair labor and installed parts, completed work is not refundable in the usual sense. If you're not satisfied with our work, contact us first. We'll inspect the problem and, if it's covered by warranty or caused by our workmanship, correct it.
Unused parts may be returned for a refund only if the supplier accepts the return, less any restocking fee. If you have a billing problem, please contact us before disputing a charge with your card company or payment app so we can fix it directly.
12. Text messaging terms
Heritage 4x4 Outfitters sends text messages to customers and people who request service from us.
- How you opt in: by checking the optional text-message consent box on our website form, or by texting us first.
- What you'll receive: replies to your questions, scheduling, appointment reminders, estimates, service updates, and follow-up after your service.
- Message frequency varies depending on your request and the service you book.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- To opt out, reply STOP to any message. You'll receive one confirmation message and no further texts unless you opt in again.
- For help, reply HELP or call (502) 865-9296.
- Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any service.
- Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.
13. Using our website
Information on this website is general and may change without notice. It isn't a diagnosis of your vehicle; we can only give you an accurate answer after seeing it. You agree not to misuse the website, interfere with how it works, or submit false information through it.
Website content, photos and branding belong to Heritage or are used with permission. Jeep, Wrangler and other vehicle and parts names are trademarks of their owners and are used only to describe the vehicles we service and the parts we install. Heritage 4x4 Outfitters is an independent repair business and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any vehicle or parts manufacturer.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Heritage is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, such as loss of use of your vehicle, rental cars, towing, lost wages or lost time. Our total liability for any claim related to a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Any dispute that can't be resolved by talking with us directly will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Jefferson County, Kentucky, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
16. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and the "Last updated" date at the top will change. The Terms in effect when you book a job apply to that job.
