Why Heritage

Louisville's Jeep Specialist Who Comes to You

Specialist shops make you come to them. Mobile mechanics aren't Jeep people. Heritage is both: a Jeep owner first, with the tools in your driveway.

We Come to Your Driveway

Home or work, anywhere about 30 miles around Louisville, with no trip fee. Most repairs get done right where you park.

Diagnosis Before Parts

We find the actual cause before anyone talks about parts. No guessing, no swapping parts until something works.

A Jeep Owner First

Noah bought his first Jeep, a 1973 CJ-5, at 15. He works on your Jeep the way he'd want someone to work on his.

Evenings & Weekends

Weekday evenings and all day Saturday and Sunday, so you don't take a day off to get your Jeep fixed.

The Heritage Story

It Started With a 1973 CJ‑5

Noah bought his first Jeep at 15: a 1973 CJ-5 that needed just about everything. Growing up in rural South Carolina, he spent his time learning, fixing and rebuilding it. That Jeep turned into years of hands-on work on Jeeps and trucks, and eventually into Heritage 4x4 Outfitters.

"We'd rather take the time to understand how you actually use your Jeep than sell you parts you don't need."

A daily driver, a weekend toy and a dedicated trail rig need different things. Every recommendation is about keeping yours reliable and suited to your goals.

Common Questions

Mobile Jeep Mechanic FAQ

Do you charge a trip fee?

No. There is no trip fee anywhere in our service area, which covers about 30 miles around Louisville, including Southern Indiana.

Can a mobile mechanic really fix death wobble and do suspension work?

Yes. Most front-end work, including track bars, ball joints, tie rods, steering boxes and lift kits, gets done right in your driveway. Jobs that need more than a driveway, like bigger frame or drivetrain work, go to a fully equipped workshop.

When are you available?

Weekday evenings from 5 to 8 pm, and Saturdays and Sundays from 8 am to 8 pm. We come to you while you are home.

What should I do if my Jeep gets death wobble?

Ease off the gas and slow down gradually instead of slamming the brakes. Dropping below about 65 mph usually lets you get home safely. Then send us a request or call, and we can diagnose and fix it in your driveway.

Which Jeeps do you work on?

Most of our work is on TJ, JK and JL Wranglers, plus Gladiators, XJ Cherokees and classic CJs. We work on trucks too.

What happens if you can't answer when I call?

Leave a message or send a service request through the website and we'll get back to you. Call in the morning and you hear back at lunch; call in the afternoon and you hear back after 5.
